Paul R. Lattanzi
Prior to founding TPG in 2016, Paul led a distinguished, 25-year career in the United States Coast Guard. During his years in the Coast Guard, Paul served as an Officer in Charge Marine Inspection leading an 87-person department responsible for vessel, waterfront facility, and bridge safety and security regulatory compliance within the Coast Guard’s First District. Additionally Paul served as a United Nations consultant to 39 nations regarding international shipping conventions, and Chief of Contingency Planning and Force Readiness for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts charged with developing and leading collaborative workgroups to mitigate risks to maritime critical infrastructure. Paul has been published in scientific and military strategic periodicals and was lead author for an International Maritime Organization manual regarding contingency planning. Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and Chemistry from The US Coast Guard Academy, a Masters degree from Tufts University, is a qualified NIMS Incident Command System Incident Commander, and a licensed Merchant Marine captain.
Recent successful projects include development of Navigation Safety Risk Assessments for Hampton Road’s $3.8B Bridge and Tunnel expansion project and REGENT Craft’s prototype Wing in Ground (WIG) craft testing in Narragansett Bay, planning and execution of international conferences, leadership roles in domestic and international oil spill exercises.
